Spokane Takes Night Cap to Earn Split in Walla Walla

Spokane struggled in all phases of the first game of an Eastern Region Double Header in Walla Walla. Spokane dropped the first game 13-2. Walla Walla’s big blow came in the second inning on a grand slam from Cody Melburn. Mike Richard took the loss for Spokane and moves to 3-3 on the year. Spokane managed just four hits in the game and committed four errors.
 
Spokane won the night cap 7-2. Starter Martin Aguirre went seven innings allowing two runs to earn his third win of the season. Justin Murphy came on in the eighth inning to preserve the win. Spokane tallied 12 hits in the game. Kelly Gau Led the way with three hits. Ian Atkinson, Cam Christian and Chad Morrison all chipped in with two hits. Taylor King had an RBI triple in the seventh inning.

Spokane begins a four game home stand against Yakima on Saturday afternoon. Game time is set for 1pm.
