Three Sasquatch Baseball Players Honored By Eastern Region

The Spokane players were honored by the Eastern Region Coaches as All-League performers. Ian Atkinson and Cam Christian were voted to the first team. Mike Richard earned second team honors.
Ian Atkinson is a sophomore from Mount Si High School and made the Eastern Region’s first team as an infielder. Ian was the starting third baseman for the Sasquatch this season. Ian hit .345, second among infielders in the region, and drew 18 walks in the leadoff spot for Spokane.
Cam Christian, a freshman transfer from Washington State University, was named to the first team as a utility player. Cam was both the starting centerfielder and pitched in the starting rotation for Spokane. He hit 284 this season with nine doubles and 20 RBI’s. On the mound he had three wins, one save and 42 strikeouts. Cam was also named to the Eastern Region’s Gold Glove team for his defensive performance in centerfield.
Mike Richard, a sophomore from DeSale’s High School in Walla Walla, was named to the second team. Mike went 5-3 on the season. Mike was the team leader and fourth in the eastern region with 64 strikeouts. Mike also had three saves on the season. Mike will attend Oklahoma City University next season to play baseball.
