Spokane Splits at Tacoma CC
Spokane traveled to Tacoma on Friday and split a double header with the Titans. Spokane won the first game 9-5 behind a solid effort from Colby Crawford on the mound. Crawford earned the win in the game throwing seven innings. Mark Purser had a big day for the Sasquatch with four hits. Purser hit his first homerun of the season and added two doubles in the game. Taylor King added two hits in the game.
The two teams played a seven innings in game two. Spokane lost the game 5-1. Tacoma starter Colton Brown held the Spokane bats at bay in his six innings of work. Starter Mike Richard went five innings allowing an unearned run. Tacoma scored four runs in the sixth to put Spokane away. The Sasquatch scored a run in the top of the seventh. Spokane managed just four hits in the game. Justin Murphy chipped in with a double and Ian Atkinson scored Spokane’s lone run.
Spokane will travel to the Yakima Valley CC Tourney this weekend. Spokane played Everett CC on Friday night and Shoreline CC and Yakima on Saturday.
