Spokane split an Eastern Region double header against Blue Mountain CC on Wednesday afternoon. Spokane won the first game 9-5. Starting pitcher Mike Richard earned his third win of the season. Richard went five innings with five strikeouts and a walk. Rex Ireland came on in the sixth inning to preserve the lead and earn his second save of the season. Spokane scored nine runs on nine hits and had the help of eight Timberwolve errors. At the plate Spokane was led by Colby Crawford with three hits. Crawford had an RBI double in the second inning. Ian Atkinson and Cam Christian added two hit apiece. Christain and Kelly Gau had doubles in the game.
 

Spokane dropped the second game 8-5. Starter Martin Aguirre threw seven innings and punched out five hitters. Spokane committed four costly errors on defense in the game. Spokane tallied ten hits in the game including two from Jake Graham, Cam Christian and Keaton Matlock. Spokane left seven runners on base in the game.

Spokane returns to action on Saturday against Big Bend Community College in Moses Lake.  The double header will start at 1pm.
