Kevin Richardson was called up by the Texas Rangers in Mid-August and appeared in one game before being sent down after the club traded for All-Star Catcher Ivan Rodriguez. In his Major League debut Richardson went two for four at the plate with a run scored. Richardson returned to the Rangers roster on September first.

Richardson from Bellingham, Washington starred at Spokane in 1999-2000 before continuing his playing career at Gonzaga University.
