Position:
Men's Basketball Head Coach

The Community Colleges of Spokane is proud to announce that Clint Hull has been hired as the new men’s basketball coach.  Hull takes over the reins from Mike Burns who has taken an assistant coaching position on the new staff at the University of Idaho.

Hull spent last year as a Sasquatch assistant coach and before that he was on the coaching staff at Irvine Valley College in southern California.  Hull spent two years coaching at Irvine Valley College in Irvine, California after finishing a successful playing career at nearby Concordia University. While at IVC working under Head Coach Jerry Hernandez, Hull was in charge of defense and perimeter player development. In two years, the Lasers compiled a 35-29 record in the Orange Coast Conference.

Hull was a star both on and off the court for Concordia. As a player, Hull earned All-American honorable mention honors. He was also a two-time honoree as an NAIA Scholar All-American. Clint majored in biology and graduated with a 3.93 grade point average.

Hull, who was a 6’3” shooting guard, transferred to Concordia from Eastern Washington University where he played for Mike Burns.  In his junior year, he played a pivotal role for Concordia in helping lead them to the NAIA National Championship game by averaging 10.7 points per contest. During his senior season, Hull emerged as the top scorer for Concordia, averaging 15.5 points per game, helping drive the Eagles run to another Golden State Athletic Conference Tournament  Championship and national tournament appearance.  As a senior, Hull led the conference in free-throw percentage, hitting 89.9 percent of his shots at the line and was also a conference leader in three-point shooting, making 49.5 percent of his shots from beyond the arc.

Hull also had a standout high school career, playing for his father Mike at Pateros High School in Pateros, Washington.  He still holds several high school records in Washington, while finishing his career with 2,200 career points.

“Clint Hull is a great addition to our coaching staff and we are very excited about having him lead our men’s basketball program for years to come.  Coach Hull is a bright young man that has great personal and professional skills and we are lucky to have him as part of our family,” stated CCS Athletic Director Ken Burrus.
